37 hours per week. £24,717- £29,033 per annum Grade 4
To be based in Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) Headquarters Newsham Court, Calcot, Reading
The role of Resourcing and Development Coordinator is to be responsible for the day to day management of the Resourcing and Development team. Specifically to manage the planning, organisation and delivery of administration and Information Systems support functions necessary to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the RBFRS Training courses.
The role will also contribute to the coordination, quality assurance and evaluation of all training and development activities to ensure effective and efficient delivery of front line recruitment and selection systems and processes. Duties will also include promotion and succession planning activities in line with current UK legislation and in collaboration with other Fire and Rescue Services as necessary.
The key focus of this role is:
- Responsible for the day to day management of planning, organisation and delivery administration for training courses.
- Contribute to the coordination, quality assurance and evaluation of all training and development activities.
- Ensure effective and efficient delivery of front line recruitment and selection systems and processes.
- Responsible for procurement and commissioning of external training providers.
- Management of the support team.
- Organisation and administrative participation in the “have a go day events”.
Key role requirements include:
- High level of communication skills, both written, verbal and electronic including report/policy writing skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, confident to liaise and work with the team and across other functions.
- Proven organisational and administrative skills.
- Self motivated with an ability to work unsupervised to meet timescales and deadlines
Qualifications and experience required are:
- BTEC Level 3 People Skills Award or equivalent.
- 4 years administration experience and experience in providing professional advice on recruitment and relevant employment law.
