Age Alliance Wales Officer

Fixed term for six months • Secondment applications welcome • 35 hours per week

We’re looking for a positive and motivated individual to join Age Cymru. As the only Wales based national charity devoted to addressing all the issues affecting older people in Wales, this is an opportunity to join at an exciting and challenging time as we continue our journey to create an age friendly Wales. This post is based at our office off Ocean Way in Cardiff.

Working with and for older people in Wales, you’ll foster and promote joint working and partnership between members of Age Alliance Wales (AAW). To succeed, you will need experience of developing and managing relationships, as well as working in partnership with other agencies, including statutory and voluntary organisations. The ability to build and maintain effective contacts is also essential.

We’ll look to you to provide comprehensive administrative support, including arranging and supporting internal and external meetings and conferences. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal and written skills together with a commitment to, and understanding of the importance of, consultation and working collaboratively with key stakeholders.
