You will play a major role in ensuring that the team achieves the performance management framework income targets and delivers an excellent service to all customers. To develop and lead on good practice in order to maintain high levels of performance throughout The Group.

The role is to ensure that rent on the property they manage is collected in a timely and efficient manner to ensure prompt payment to the Landlord. Where the rent is not paid on time the role is to chase the tenants and to ensure that the process of arrears is controlled and appropriate action is taken to ensure that where the tenant is in arrears that the rent guarantee is enforced and if necessary the relevant section notices served whilst communicating with the landlord and guarantor if applicable.

Job Specifics
- Collect the rent on a portfolio of 750 residential properties
- Communicate with tenants regarding rent due
- Communicate with landlords to inform them the rent is late and when it will be paid
- Inform landlords once arrears payments collected
- Follow up with tenants to ensure proposal fulfilled
- Contact guarantors for rent where relevant and ensure contact is regular throughout arrears stage
- Serve relevant eviction notices to tenants and or guarantors
- Liaise with housing benefit offices where necessary
- Serve regulation notices to the local housing benefit office
- Communicate with solicitors and bailiffs for possession and recovery of debt
- Renewing rent guarantee insurance

A minimum of 1 years property or rent collection experience is required.

22 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays. Working hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm Saturdays on a pro rata basis.

This is a temporary post covering maternity leave 6-12 months.
