An exciting opportunity has become available within our Logistics team. We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor to support the Contract Manager.
You should have the drive to motivate a team of individuals to meet targets and productivity expectations in line with company goals. You should be prepared to take responsibility for tracking the attendance and work flow of the team, work alongside the Shift Manager to highlight and rectify issues with performance and productivity as they arise.
The ideal candidate would ideally have experience in Order Picking to targets within a fast-paced logistics/distribution environment as you will be required to:
- Support the Contract Manager by ensuring the performance and productivity is managed to a high standard
- Support in the development of a strong culture of health and safety practices and initiatives through the compliance with legislation and policy
- Assist with the training of new associates to ensure they have the right knowledge to carry out tasks required
- Assist the Contract Manager with performance and productivity tracking Follow up and solve process-related area issues as required
- Manage customer service escalations and interface with Shift Leaders where necessary
Candidate requirements:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
- The ability to train new starters in the correct procedures required to meet performance targets
- Experience in coaching and mentoring others to succeed
- Able to handle long and short term multiple tasks, whilst working in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
The hours of work available will be 7pm – 5am, Friday – Monday.
The rate of pay is £8.00 per hour.
