Our client has been a global leader in the manufacture, distribution and sale of coatings and related products for nearly 150 years. Their Company has not only grown to be the largest producer of paints and coatings in the United States, selling Ronseal, Geocel, Thompsons and Dow Corning, but is among the largest producers in the world.

They are currently looking to recruit a Territory Sales Manager within the Building Trade Merchants channel to cover South Wales, Mid Wales, Shropshire and Gloucestershire.

As a field based Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing our business within the Building Trade Merchants channels in direct and indirect accounts.  Achieving revenue and distribution targets within your territory, you will ensure profit targets are met, maximising promotional activity through creating full customer awareness and participation of their range of products and promotions. Fulfilling all the Key Accounts support requirements by implementing all National Accounts and Buying Group plans, as well as identifying and developing new business through planned prospecting.

Candidates for this role must be educated to a minimum of GCSE level or equivalent and have strong trade mathematical, negotiation and selling skills, ideally from a FMCG background.  Knowledge within the Trade Market would be desirable although not essential, and the ability to demonstrate a track record within a customer facing role, understanding the highs and lows of selling into the independent retail market in a recognised retail sector.
