We have grown to more than 250 staff and 6 centres across the North West and other areas of the UK, working with national employers across a wide range of sectors, whilst maintaining local support.

A vacancy has arisen in the Company’s Finance Department for a Finance Clerk on a permanent contract, based in Blackburn.

About the role:

The core responsibility for the finance clerk will be the processing of sales and purchase transactions, from the receipt of sales invoice requests and purchase invoices, through to gaining appropriate authorisations and accurately logging on to the Finance system in readiness for payment.

Credit control and query resolution are also a major parts of the role so it is essential the finance clerk is confident using the telephone, and has well developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information accurately and confidently to achieve desired outcomes.

The finance clerk will be competent in handling varied administrative tasks and workloads within a Finance function, and be flexible in their approach to work.

The successful candidate will have a sound working knowledge of Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Credit Control processes, and preferably will have experience of using Sage 200.

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a small Finance team, demonstrating the ability to work under pressure whilst providing a highly accurate and efficient service. All training and development will be provided alongside a robust induction programme.
