Production Manager - Global opportunities
This company, part of a major global group, is looking for its future executive talent. Business in the UK is excellent and elsewhere in this multi-billion pound multifaceted operation overseas opportunities will be available for ambitious managers hungry for success.
Responsibilities:
- Support and develop a team in excess of 100 people on the shop floor and focus strongly on implementing lean activities that will directly reduce waste.
- Drive culture change to deliver best practice GMP standards within this modern fast paced environment
- Identify any training/development requirements for self and for staff.
- Effectively use data to improve yields and reduce operating costs.
- Investigate solutions to improve delivery by driving a strong lean culture.
- Improve communications between management and operations.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the working areas.
Requirements
- You will have a minimum of four years operations management experience gained within a modern well run manufacturing, engineering or logistics business with a strong management style allied to a hands-on approach to leading change
- A record of driving operational performance and continuous improvement programmes and of delivering significant improvements in reliability, performance and customer service
- Must be results-driven, numerate and financially aware with strong communication and presentational skills and the ability to make tough decisions when necessary.
- Degree level or HND or equivalent with knowledge of Lean Manufacturing in a fast moving environment.
Remuneration:
The basic salary is flexible for exceptional candidates and there is a bonus, healthcare, pension and relocation assistance if necessary.
