Job Title: Educational / Learning Technologist

Location: Maidstone, Kent

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 FTE

Job Type: Full Time (would consider 0.8)

Our client is looking for a highly motivated individual who has experience of working in the higher education sector to join their team. The School has both academic and clinical facilities, together offering students and patients the benefit of first class osteopathic care.

Job Role:

You will have the ability to develop the use of the current technologies used within the organisation to assist the academic department in creating innovative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment for students. You will also be able to provide training and support to staff, faculty and students in the use of these technologies.

You will also be responsible for creating and publishing the timetables for the 4-year MOst Programme, the International Department and CPD Department.

The company currently uses Clinic Office to manage their patient bookings, Facility CMIS and CMIS Go to produce the timetable and monitor attendance, Moodle for their Virtual Learning Environment and has a bespoke CRM to manage student data. They also have a range of high quality AV facilities in all their lecture rooms. The organisation is currently in the process of moving over to Office 365.

For the ambitious applicant there will be opportunity to develop within this role as the organization widens its portfolio of courses and services.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and excellent organisational and project management skills. You will have the ability to adapt to meet faculty and student needs, to produce instructional materials and provide small group training. You will have good database management skills including proficiency in writing SQL and developing Access and Excel bespoke functions. A working knowledge of Visual Basic, PHP or equivalent coding skills is desirable. You will be able to use these technologies to support staff in developing and implementing innovative technological approaches to teaching, learning and assessment.
