We’re now looking for a Plant Operator to join us at our Sutton Courtenay Landfill Site. You will be responsible for the operation of mobile plant to aid in the acceptance and placement of waste received from customers.
Your key duties as our Plant Operator will include:
• Maintaining all plant equipment, lubricating, refueling and cleaning machinery
• Ensuring compliance with all health & safety and legislative requirements (PPC)
• Maintain cleanliness on site
• Effective management of any road borne waste
• Report any faults or defects, incidents and dangerous occurrences
• Ensuring our excellent standards of customer service are maintained
• Identifying non conforming waste
We need our Plant Operator to possess the following:
• You must possess a heavy plant qualification to include:
- Bulldozer
- Tracked Loading Shovel
- Excavator
- Compactor
- Articulated Dumper
- Tractor
• Experience off working on a waste site
• An understanding of landfill operations

Our Plant Operator’s are flexible, approachable and friendly individuals with the ability to work well under pressure and use their own initiative. People skills are imperative as is the ability to learn quickly and adapt well to a new environment. It is expected that you are a performance driven and supportive member of staff here at FCC Environment.
