Our well known branded client is looking to recruit an Enterprise Application Architect based in Newark, Nottinghamshire as they continue to develop their IT function. The organisation continues to grow year on year and are eager to continue their expansion into the future. In light of the continuous integration of digital applications and solutions my client has opened up a new vacancy for an IT Enterprise Application Architect within their fast paced and driven environment. The initial main project will be to integrate Adobe Content Manager. The Enterprise Architect will manage a team, to include an Infrastructure Architect.

Required skills:

• Experience of working with application architecture - Ideally experience of Digital Platforms and Web Front End Systems, and any experience of Microsoft Technology stack including .net is highly desirable.
• Experience in developing applications using Object-oriented programming languages, Server Side Scripting languages is a must.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience of frameworks, design patterns and tools for application integration through an Enterprise Services Layer
• Having gained exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
• Experience in Project solution architecture is desirable
• Use of Agile Development practices is desirable

Role Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing leadership and guidance on all aspects related to application architecture during project implementation including, but not limited to, requirements analysis and design, configuration, development, conversions, system testing, cut over and production support
• Lead, offer guidance and coordinate development with in-house application leads and/or off-shore partners
• Be prepared to review and provide guidance related to application Security and best practice
• Maintain a clear understanding whilst communicating the Enterprise Architecture requirements of any future infrastructure needs, working alongside various IT architects (in-house, partners and vendors) to develop an approach that fits the current and planned needs of the organisation
• Responsible for facilitating and documenting the full portfolio architecture, whilst utilising Unified Modelling Language (UML) standards
