Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Mechanical Technician to join our team in Runcorn.Working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What will I be responsible for?

You will assume responsibility for the repair and maintenance of all on-site equipment.  The role will also include assisting in the coordination of contractors as required, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Mechanical Technician key responsibilities:
  • Responsibility for carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our Ardley ERF plant.
  • Ensuring maintenance plans and targets are achieved safely, economically and within the environmental limits of the plant.
  • Carrying out fault diagnosis and rectifying as required, along with managing calibration records and the implementation of instrument calibrations.
  • Ensuring that all reporting within the Computerised Maintenance Management System is effective and followed through to completion promptly.
  • Conduct plant inspections and area safety inspections.
  • Carry out risk assessments to ensure activities are completed in a safe manner at all times.

The ideal Mechanical Technician:
  • Possess appropriate technical qualifications such as a City & Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent) including a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Understanding of Environmental and H&S issues and their impacts, training will be given.
  • Experience in mechanical engineering of process industry or power plant environment.
  • Experience of working with Computerised Maintenance Management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A full driving licence is desirable

In return for your hard work as a Mechanical Technician, you can expect to receive a salary of £34,198 per annum plus a range of benefits.
