NSCP is a staff owned Community Interest Company which provides NHS community health services across North Somerset. We have developed an innovative new model of care which focuses on providing whole life support to our local population, with a focus on keeping people well or supporting them to recover from illness.

Our aim is to provide patients, families and carers with effective, high quality services. We have a turnover of £28 million and employ around 700 staff, providing services from approximately 50 bases.

We recently appointed a new Chief Executive and we are now seeking to appoint a Chair to lead our Board through the next stage of NSCP's development, ensuring that the company meets the highest standards of probity and governance, lives by its values and delivers great services to the local population.

The post holder will need to demonstrate they have:

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, chairing and negotiating skills
• Commitment to NHS values, understanding of the health and social care system and the highest levels of integrity
• Commercial expertise
• Board level experience in a Non- Executive Director role
• Sound knowledge of governance
