The Role
The role will entail the following:
Transactions range from bilaterals to US$ billion + syndicated facilities as well as structured financial products
Drafting and negotiating finance documents such as facility agreements, supply chain financing, security and intercreditor arrangements for trade and commodity finance transactions
The work of the group is predominantly cross border, with a focus on emerging markets, so the role includes liaison with foreign counsel
The role will also involve day to day client contact with teams at major international banks and corporates
Clients include banks such as Standard Chartered, Barclays, JP Morgan, HSBC and corporates such as Trafigura and Louis Dreyfus
Skills and Experience Required
English or other common law qualified
Experience of secured lending transactions
Commodities and trade finance experience is helpful, but not essential, so experience of asset finance or leveraged finance transactions would meet the requirements of the role
Experience of cross border transactions also helpful, but not essential
