Senior Fundraising and Legacy Officer, St Albans

Full time | Competitive salary - Circa GBP35000 per annum

This role will be responsible for developing Abbeyfield`s profile and fundraising appeal strategies throughout the UK at both the national and regional level and internationally through Abbeyfield International with particular emphasis on maximising fundraising opportunities for legacies, in memory giving and trusts.

The post holder is responsible for developing and delivering Abbeyfield`s legacy strategy, building awareness of legacy giving among individuals, volunteers, local groups and professional advisers. You will increase enquiries, pledges and income by organising regular legacy & in-memory training events for local staff and volunteers to inspire, train and encourage greater awareness of legacy & in memory giving. You will write copy, including research stories and conduct interviews and working with other colleagues to identify effective fundraising campaigns and events.

You will also project manage, review and report on the effectiveness of strategies and programme and work to promote Abbeyfield`s capital development programme and maximise opportunities for trust funding by promoting locally and nationally.

You should have a professional qualification in fundraising, marketing or sales environment as well as experience of working with volunteers.
