£60,000 - £65,000 DOE Plus Car Allowance (£500 per month) & Excellent Benefits 

Our client supplies exceptional communications solutions, including world-leading broadband managed networks. Following recent success, they are now looking for a Senior Presales Engineer to join their team. 

If you’re a highly skilled network and systems engineer with great customer-facing skills, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the future success of an international business. 

In this stimulating role, you’ll have the chance to work with leading technologies whilst shaping and influencing key customer projects. 

As the Senior Presales Engineer, you will be tasked with delivering a high level of technical presales support to a variety of customers across Europe. 

Representing the business at a technical level, you’ll assess customers’ initial requirements and design, size, cost and present new networks to customers. You’ll provide key input to bids and draft any bid-specific elements of contracts.

Additionally, you will assist with product definition activities, including identifying and testing new features, platforms and products. 

To be considered, you must have:

- At least five years’ WAN engineering and system engineering experience, ideally including designing networks and solutions
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in presales and/or technical sales 
- The ability to travel within Europe 

Knowledge and experience of the following is also essential:

- Common network protocols, such as TCP/IP suite (SNMP & HTTP), multicast and IP addressing schemes
- DSL and other terrestrial technologies, such as L2TP, VPN, ISDN, MPLS and VPLS networks
- Data communications, networking and system design, routing protocols and network topologies
- Wireless networks such as 3G/4G and Wi-Fi
- Computer systems, hardware and operating systems such as Unix and Windows 
- Network security, firewalls, and popular standards such as PCI, IPSEC and encryption coding (AES & triple DES)

Hands-on and analytical, as the Senior Presales Engineer, you must have exceptional communication skills and a strong customer focus. You must also have excellent planning and problem-solving abilities.
