Business Development Manager - Construction
GBP 50000 - GBP 60000 + Package + Benefits

Openside Networks have been tasked by a leading regional construction main contractor based in the Berkshire area to assist them in sourcing an experienced Business Development Manager to help grow their market share across the Thames Valley area.
What you will be doing:
As the successful Business Development Manager, you will take responsibility for the development and successful delivery of pre-qualifications, tender presentations and tender awards. You will also be responsible for generating new business;
. Actively and professionally manage the sales cycle from lead generation, prospecting, arranging appointments, negotiating and handing over new accounts to the commercial team
. Build, manage and maintain a substantial pipeline and to ensure that all new prospect activity is accurately documented.
. Maintain and develop a computerised customer and prospect data base
. Ensure that all sales opportunities are fully captured and explored
. Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information
. Provide timely response and exceptional levels of service to all commercial enquiries
. Communicate new product and service developments to current and prospective clients
. Monitor, measure and report on sales and commercial issues, opportunities and development plans with commercial team and Managing Director
What we are looking for:
You will be an experienced Business Development Manager with a successful track record within the Construction sector. Ideally you will have experience within a main contractor environment focusing around new build/refurbishment projects within the Education, Commercial, Healthcare, MOD or Industrial sectors. However, we would welcome applications from candidates with experience within a Sub-Contractors environment as well. You will have excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels of an organization both internally and externally.
