The Civil Engineering Site Manager shall ensure that Health and Safety is a key focus for the project.

The Civil Engineering Site Manager shall be required to monitor civil engineering activities and interfaces across the project,the EPC Contractor (Principal Contractor and Principal Designer) and SPV Client's Engineer during pre-works and construction. The Civil Engineering Site Manager shall also be responsible for monitoring the design and construction works progress with escalation to the EfW Project Technical Manager as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
  • To review the EPC Contractor civil engineering design information against Specification, statutory requirements, standards and Good industry Practice;
  • Review EPC contract/specifications in the context of Civil Engineering requirements;
  • Ensure the EPC Contractor and his Sub-Contractors meet specified requirements within the contract as delivered on site;
  • Monitor civil construction progress across all sites in relation to time, cost and quality;
  • Liaise with colleagues, civil sub-contractor personnel and external advisors to ensure safety is considered both during design and construction;
  • Notifying the EfW Project Technical Manager of any discrepancies with specification, project programme and agreed design changes;
  • Participate in engineering meetings, both internal and external. Participate in wider project meetings such as co-ordination and schedule meetings.
Manage FCC Environment site engineering team to:
  • Monitoring compliance to Specification;
  • Monitoring quality;
  • Monitoring deadlines.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • To supervise external technical advisors where applicable. Ensure EPC contractor fulfil their commitments in relation to engineering.

  • Non conformance Reports
Qualifications and Experience (preferred)
  • Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng) experienced in complex process plant projects
  • People management;
  • Problem solving;
  • Customer focus;
  • Health & Safety awareness (NEBOSH Construction Certificate);

Job Type: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. In addition to these hours you may be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime when necessary without additional remuneration.
