An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Estimator to join our clients firm, a privately owned Fencing Contractor based in Leicestershire. They work nationwide installing security fencing, swing gates, sliding gates, barriers, turnstiles, automated products and all temporary hoardings.
This is an ideal opportunity to build a career in the construction sector, as full training will be given. This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, we are offering a competitive salary, 28 days annual leave and company pension.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Review the scope of works from detailed plans and specifications
* Obtain most competitive quotations for materials from our supply chain
* Prepare quotations for our clients
* Liaise with contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers
* Develop and manage relationships with clients
* Ensure that all quotations are regularly chased until we have exhausted the opportunity
* Provide weekly progress reports
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
* A Graduate with a relevant degree would be desirable but not essential.
* Experience within the Fencing Industry would be desirable but not essential.
* You must have excellent numerical skills and be a confident communicator both written and oral.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
