NIGHT PORTER - SUPPORTED HOUSING PROJECT
35 hours per week
£16,828 per annum + benefits

This is a supported project that provides accommodation for up to twenty one adults and offers a secure, friendly environment, with trained staff on hand to provide support and advice to residents.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Night Porter to join the team. The role of Night Porter is to ensure the safety and security of the building and its residents. This includes carrying out regular building security and welfare checks, health and safety inspections, operation of security surveillance equipment and maintaining accurate records.

As Night Porter you will be expected to work on a four week rolling rota which includes working some weekends and Bank Holidays. You will be working an average of 35 hours per week over a four week period. The night port shift starts at 2145 and finishes at 0815.

To be successful in this post you will need to:

• Have a calm disposition

• Be aware of security and health and safety issues

• Have previous experience or an understanding of professional boundaries when working with young people

• Good communication and administration skills

Employment for this position will be conditional upon two satisfactory references (one from your current employer) and a satisfactory Enhanced Certificate from the Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS). In return our client offers an excellent benefits package including (not exhaustive list):
