Specialising in the supply of disposable catering and food packaging products, catering equipment, cleaning chemicals and an extensive range of paper and janitorial products. About the role
Working as part of a small, dedicated team, distributing products for our wide ranging portfolio of B:B customers. We are looking for a strongly motivated and high integrity individual who has the ability to adapt into this role with ease. Consider this role as a stepping stone into our management progression plan. Our desire is to secure, a forward thinking individual with a passion to learn, develop and to innovate their way into becoming part of our long term management strategy.
Good communication skills are an absolute must! The successful applicant must be a naturally open and clear communicator, whilst adopting a practical and proactive manner. Thus enabling your management style to develop in purchasing, as well as having the ability and determination to oversee our logistics and supply chain team.
The successful applicant will work as part of our highly motivated and progressive team. Experience within our industry isn’t essential, as all aspects can be mastered, providing the applicant is a committed individual with a passion to learn, striving for continuous professional as well as personal growth.
We are a supportive team and a large part of the support we offer will be to work closely with our MD as well as our team as a whole. Thereby helping the successful applicant to become a key part in Elliott’s continuing improvements and achievements, with the levels of perfection that our customers are used to and standards Elliott’s are renowned for.
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
·Have an excellent communication style, integrating with your team, customers and suppliers
·Have a good workable and active knowledge of Purchasing and Supply (logistics), being able to demonstrate highly effective skills in all aspects
·Raising purchasing orders and engaging in proactive communication with our suppliers
·Handling stock situations, such as minimum levels, shortfalls, forecasting, amendments etc
·Handling and processing supplier purchasing related documents, delivery notes, invoices etc
·Overseeing the logistics and supply of products to our wide customer base. Overseeing the warehouse and our team of drivers. Striving to ensure maximum efficiencies and high levels of engagement and optimisation throughout.
·Be process driven – able to create, manage and improve systems and processes – a ‘natural multi-tasker’ with a strong, diplomatic and emerging leadership style
·A willingness to proactively accept responsibility and develop skills and knowledge
·Have experience of working to set targets and KPI’s, driving towards a lean operational style
Elliott’s have up to date IT systems and networks, we operate on Sage 200. In fairness experience with Sage would be an advantage but is not essential as full practical training and support will be provided.
