The Student Support Service provides professional advice and guidance for students, prospective students and their supporters and University staff on a wide range of areas, including; student finance, disability matters, academic access and inclusion, physical and mental wellbeing, student engagement and peer mentoring. We put our students at the very centre of all we do and you will have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and experience from working in a dynamic and busy service.
About the role
This post is based within Student Support and plays a key role in ensuring the Service delivers excellent customer service and has responsibility for a number of important administrative functions. The role holder will deliver general advice and guidance to enquirers and will be responsible for ensuring professional and timely referrals to specialist staff. They will work collaboratively with other staff to ensure critical student data is kept up to date and maintained efficiently and effectively.
The post-holder will work in partnership with the other Student Support Advisor to ensure all processes and systems are maintained and fit for purpose.
About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual who is comfortable working in a busy and varied environment. A strong team player, you will develop your skills, quickly utilising strong IT experience and excellent communication.
Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) the right candidate will have strong customer service skills and will be professional in their approach to students and colleagues alike. You will have a strong eye for detail and experience of working with sensitive data and information.
