Cyber Defence Threat Analyst

Role:
We are looking for a Cyber Defence Threat Analyst to work within a large business based in the Cheltenham area, and work across commercial, MOD and Government projects.

The Cyber Defence of the UK is of growing importance for the UK's national Security, social and economic well-being. As a Cyber Defense Threat Analyst, you will be tasked with staying on top of current cyber attack trends and ensuring the research and preventative measures are taken to ensure the business is well prepared for such events.

The selected applicant will become part of our team for analysing and reporting on all-source Cyber Threat information.

Key Responsibilities:
*The selected applicant will become part of our team for analysing and reporting on all-sources of Cyber Threat information.
*Conducts research and evaluates technical and all-source intelligence with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the threat to networks and platforms.
*Analyses network and security events to determine the impact on current operations and conduct all-source research to determine advisory capability and intent.
Prepares assessments and cyber threat profiles of current events based on the sophisticated collection, research and analysis of specialist and open source information.

Qualifications

Person Specification:
*Degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years related technical experience is required. An additional 3 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
*Ability to understand and learn technical specifications, system requirements and other application design information as needed.
*Basic understanding of Network Administration and Network Security is required.
