This leading manufacturer of electronic equipment for the Security industry are seeking a Technical Support Engineer (Electrical/Electronics) for their South Yorkshire site. Experience and Knowledge of Sensors, Security Systems or Alarm Systems is required.

As a Technical Support Engineer you will provide technical issue resolution for their customers (installers). You will have Technical Support or installations experience in an Electronics or Electrical environment, such as Sensors, Alarms, Detectors, or Security Systems. Whilst this is primarily an office-based position, providing support over the telephone you may be required to occasionally travel and therefore a full driver's licence would be an advantage.

Candidates should have a good Customer Service background with basic Electronics or Electrical Technical knowledge supporting Electrical/Electronic products. Ideally you will have an Electrical/Electronics qualification and knowledge of working with intruder alarm installers, Sensors, detectors, alarm systems or Control Systems.

You will take technical support calls to help identify product problems and advising on a solution, undertake software testing/new product testing, have some input into the initial design of new products. Your remit will be to assist in product training for internal and external customers, identify and rectify reported faults or problems. Specific Electronic Product training will be provided.

The successful candidate will have good organisational skills, be a Team player and take personal responsibility to resolve problems. You will have excellent interpersonal skills both in person and on the telephone and be friendly and approachable. You will be committed to an excellent customer service.
