We are looking for a Desptach/Facilities Assistant to join our office environment in a stand alone role. We are based in a converted mill on the outskirts of Leeds/Bradford and have parking facilities on site. The successful person will need to be well organised and be both professional and positive.
Key tasks
Despatch duties including franking generating labels on PC and packing.
Franking of business mail
General housekeeping of Despatch Area
Stock room duties including general ordering and stock taking, ink and paper ordering, general stationery
Undertake minor repairs and upkeep of building, including changing light bulbs, door fittings
Carry out housekeeping duties
Carry out health and safety inspections as required
Maintain and operate waste compactors
Liaise with contractors regarding repair and maintenance requirements e.g. electricians, plumbers, flooring, air conditioning, generators, door access, alarm company, machine vending company etc
Getting quotes and ordering in furniture or appliances and storage and assisting with desk/office moves.
Organising the removal of old furniture, appliances, waste and paper waste disposal
Carryout housekeeping duties such as unblocking toilets, sinks, collecting recycling, helping managers with filing, storing, disposing and scanning of any work.
Deal with the Albion Mills complex Facilities Manager regards any communal areas and be on the alarm call out list.
Carry out health and safety inspections as required.
Any other task appropriate to assist the smooth running of production and the business.
