A well-known global Retailer is in need of a Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to join their security function to ensure the delivery of exemplary InfoSec services that meet the business needs of internal and external clients. You will be the face and voice of the information security function to the business, working closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements/risks and subsequently enable services to be delivered in a targeted and proactive fashion. A business facing role operating at a senior level, you must be comfortable influencing colleagues at a complex, international scale.
Requirement's include:
- Responsible for building close working relationships with the business and associated ITS functions.
- Stimulating and managing InfoSec demand to ensure the wisest and most effective use of business and ITS investment opportunities.
- Understanding and responding to future InfoSec needs of the client and increasing awareness within the organisation of the InfoSec services the ITS function provides and also the benefits "business-users" and the business as a whole can gain from adoption of such services.
- Ensure the value of the ITS BISO function is understood and that a persuasive, analytical and creative presence is visible to the business setting and agreeing success criterion to measure the same with the client.
- Chair ITS/Directorate forums and gain Directorate stakeholder input on a monthly basis.
- Be accountable for deployment and review of business InfoSec processes.
- Previous track record engaging/influencing stakeholders across a complex international landscape
- Strong grounding in both technical and risk elements of information security.
Reporting to the Director of Information Security, you will be vital to the successful execution of one of the businesses most critical change programmes, touching all areas of the organisation across more than twenty countries.
