Job Title: Technical Services Manager

The Company manufacture technical devices and solutions for harsh environments including pharmaceutical, chemical, oil and gas.
Working together they innovate and push boundaries. Their technology is cutting edge and spans from electronic hardware to software, and complete RTLS solutions; they work to remain at the forefront of their industry.
Due to continued growth, particularly in the USA, they are looking to expand their team, and are now recruiting for a Technical Services Manager.
Leading the technical services function, you will have proven skills managing and developing a motivated and talented team.
You will be an effective leader, problem-solver and possess superb negotiation and conflict resolution skills. You will ensure that adequate practices are in place to deliver required support both externally to end users, customers and sales partners; as well as internally to R&D, Sales, and Manufacturing.
Ideally you will have an Engineering/Telecoms/R&D background, demonstrated either through qualification or experience. You will also have proven experience managing a team of client facing support engineers within the setting of a technology based manufacturer or fast paced distributor.
The issues that your team will encounter will be on a global scale and be diverse. They work as a close knit team, as such you need to be an actively contributing team member and willing to roll your sleeves up and get involved in day to day activities. You will have the ability to think on your feet, and remain calm under pressure. You will have the tenacity, and dedication to problem solve, and cascade this behaviour down to your team members
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following:
- Experience of leading a team of technical resources, whilst being a credible contributing team member
- Experience of delivering customer satisfaction within the Engineering, R&D or Telecoms industry.
- Ability to hit the ground running and add value from the start
- Full passport and UK driving license
