History Teacher - Manchester

6 month duration, starting November 2016

We're seeking a Humanities Teacher for a school situated in central Manchester. The school currently hosts just over 850 students from the local area, guiding them through secondary stages of education.

We are looking for somebody who can start ASAP until Easter, 5 days a week. You will be required to teach 60% History, 20% Religious Education, 20% Geography. There may be odd occasions that you can cover PSHE and Citizenship lessons also.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, preparation & delivery of curriculum necessary subject matter
  • Providing engaging and interactive lessons
  • Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events
  • Participating in and organising extracurricular activities, such as outings, social activities and sporting events
  • Preparing pupils for qualifications and external examinations
