Junior PHP Developer

About you

You're a junior developer with one to two years of web development work on your CV. You think quickly, plan carefully, and deploy well tested and robust solutions, working to tight deadlines. Flexible enough to react to the rapidly changing demands of our business, you enjoy picking up new technologies as you go, and then sharing this knowledge with the wider team.

You're also a natural collaborator with a genuine interest in technology and its application in the healthcare space.

You will be working in an experienced multidisciplinary agile development team using Mac OS X and LAMP stack infrastructure. A self-starter and keen problem solver, you will be motivated to deliver innovative, high quality code in line with project goals and delivery cycles.

As the role develops, there may be occasional UK-wide travel to visit our many clients onsite as well as attend user-groups and training sessions and so you should enjoy dealing with customers in a face-to-face environment.

Skills & Requirements

Essential

PHP/JavaScript/MySQL/Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written

Desirable

HTML5/CSS3/jQuery/JSON/Sass/Git/MVC Framework (especially Yii)

Automated testing (especially Selenium, Behat and PHPUnit)

Desirable experience

Working with agile methodologies

Knowledge of healthcare applications
