Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service is looking for a Service Review Manager who will be required to carry out a Service Review of the Business Intelligence Hub, with the ultimate goal of supporting our draft Service Level Agreement (SLA).

The Service has numerous management information/performance reports/analysis produced by the Business Intelligence Hub, which is delivered mainly to internal customers across the Organisation, but also to some external customers.

It will be your role to:

  • Ascertain an accurate picture of the work the Business Intelligence Hub is currently producing
  • Propose what work should stop because it is no longer creating the best value for the Organisation
  • Out of the work that should continue to be done, identify what work could/should be delivered in a more efficient manner (e.g. self-serve) now or in the future
  • Suggest what the SLA delivery time should be for the work that will still be delivered direct from the Business Intelligence Hub.

About you

The role will require someone who is prepared to challenge the effectiveness of the suite of reports and products currently produced by working with a wide range of key stakeholders across Devon and Somerset. You will also identify smarter ways of working and prepare and present meaningful reports on the recommendations to the Heads of the Business Intelligence Service. The ability to work with minimal supervision will be a key requirement.

You will ideally be an experienced business analyst, auditor or Project Manager, although we welcome candidates with a strong and broad background in delivering business requirements, with a desire to influence change in a complex and challenging environment.

Travel across Devon and Somerset will also be required as part of this role.

For further information, please contact either of the Business Intelligence & Analysis Managers, Lucy Cole (01392 872352) or Caroline Taylor (01392 872507).
