Salary  £29180 - £32921 per annum pro rata (£15.99-£18.04 per hour)
Temporary full time position until 30 June 2017
35 hours per week
To start 1 December 2016

This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker with experience in mental health to work within the multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Team in East Lothian.

 A current driving licence and use of a vehicle are essential requirements of this post.

To provide an effective service to service users and carers, promoting a high standard of practice, in accordance with statutory obligations, policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Degree in Social Work (or other recognised Social Work Qualification, ie CQSW, Dip SW, CCETSW).

Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle are essential requirements of this post.

PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
