Finance Assistant, Purchase and Sales Ledger,
Job Description:
Finance Assistant, Purchase and Sales Ledger, would suit AAT, ACCA (studier), Graduate level education or equivalent The role is within the finance department and would be ideal for a graduate finance professional as exam support may be included within the overall package whilst the person is working within the finance function. The role will start off focused on sales ledger, purchase and credit control, leading to involvement across the whole of the finance function progressing to work on Balance sheet items and accounts under supervision with exposure to stock, foreign currency invoicing and transactions and progression to understanding the work of the whole of the department workflows. The candidate will be pushed to take on as many additional duties and responsibilities within finance as the role allows. There will be exposure to different internal control systems and software packages and the ability to help develop these going forward. To commence with the following duties will be core to the position: - Raising invoices for product sales - Credit control with varying payment terms - Controlling Sales order process including involvement in the weekly orders meeting with sales and support staff. - Recording customer receipts and credit card transactions - Recording purchase orders associated with jobs and following through with these to invoice and payment The role will then progress within a short time frame to dealing with other areas of the accounts department and Nominal Ledger work Going forward the role should include assistance with preparation of the management accounts and supporting analysis schedules as well as year end accounts.
