Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant with a genuine passion for helping children with additional needs to overcome barriers to learning. We are looking for an experienced person to provide cover to the current team during periods of holiday and sickness and staffing gaps. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an 'outstanding' SEN school, in a role that will provide a strong base on which to build your career within education.

We are looking for candidates with

Previous experience within a mainstream school, early years setting or with children with additional needs

Some knowledge and experience of Special Educational Needs

Excellent communication skills

Availability at least 3 or more days per week

The school are able to offer excellent support and staff development opportunities. There are also opportunities to apply for permanent and long term roles within the school.

You will be required to support children with a variety of special educational needs, including; ASD, Asperger's, SEMH, and with profound and multiple learning difficulties. You will need to be prepared to work with children within a group and on a 1:1 basis, building good relationships with both students and staff.
