Building Maintenance Handyman

You will be working for a huge building maintenance company that operates throughout the UK and Europe that turns over excess of GBP10billion annually. As a company they look after large commercial office buildings. They look after all of the mechanical and electrical systems on site, as well as general building maintenance.
It would suit anyone who is looking to have a full time job and work locally around Reading and surrounding areas - but with plenty of flexibility on when you work. It would suit anyone with general DIY skills.

They are looking to employ handymen / handywomen / building maintenance staff to help maintain large office buildings owned by the government.

Day to day tasks will be general building maintenance and will include;
- Touching up paint work
- Patching small areas of plaster work
- Replacing door handles or 'kicker strips' on doors
- Repairing wallpaper
- Repairing carpet / ceiling tiles
- Carpet cleaning
- Bathroom repairs - Replacing soap, towel, toilet roll dispensers
- Replacing silicone seals around sinks, WC's
- General gardening duties - strimming, mowing, weeding
- Covering up offensive graffiti / spillages
- Occasional general janitorial, basic cleaning duties

You will be working locally covering a number of the government office buildings in your area. You will be given a works van, tools, work wear, phone / laptop.

You will be able to work 41.25 hours a week, any time between 6am - 8pm Mon - Friday.

You will need to have great DIY skills and must be willing or able to address any problems that crop up in an office building. We are looking to get the right candidate started as soon as possible with interviews being held soon
