Our client, a major investment bank are seeking Due Diligence Officers on a contract basis for the next 6 months and the role is based in London.

Where does this role sit

Working within a team to facilitate and provide a complete transversal on -boarding and client review service for CIB. Producing client risk assessments, client profiles, due diligence analyses and awarding a risk rating where appropriate. Also providing feedback and escalating issues to the appropriate support functions; the Front Office and the local head.

What will be the core duties of the role?

Daily Implementation and Processes

o Ensure that evidence of each client/customer's identity is collected in accordance with the current account opening procedures

o Responsible for collecting documents in accordance with the current procedures

o Ensure additional checks on files are performed and signed-off on files as a second layer control

o Complete files reviews when due

o Ensure GCARS (electronic filing system) input for all approved accounts

o Ensure that all new requests are logged accordingly

o Chasing outstanding requests

o Answer all account queries and ensure team in-box is cleared daily.

o Ensure that all new requests are logged accordingly

o Chasing outstanding requests

o Answer all account queries and ensure team in-box is cleared daily.

Top 3 Evaluation Criteria

Good level of experience within KYC/Due Diligence (at Least 2 years' experience)

Aware of various types of trading entities - limited, private and public companies, holding companies, hedge funds, asset managers, special purpose vehicle's, trust's etc. institutions/Private companies/ trusts

Demonstrate a firm understanding of client classification definitions - MIFID and its implications and proficient in Excel and Word
