Job Title: Motor Insurance Customer Adviser


This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable insurance provider in Newcastle as a Motor Insurance Customer Adviser.

Main Duties:

Working for a motor insurance company in a team environment, you will provide an excellent standard of customer service and assistance to both new and existing policy holders.

Duties will be as follows:

• Taking inbound calls from customer who have queries regarding their new motor insurance policies;
• Eloquently explaining the terms and inclusions of the policy and which risks are covering;
• Actioning midterm amendments, changes of personal details and circumstances;
• Cancelling policies or referring to other teams within the business;
• Demonstrating an excellent understanding of the motor insurance market as well as an understanding of TCF whilst adhering to strict compliance guidelines.
• Following up with customer enquiries making outbound calls where appropriate.
• Demonstrating accuracy and a keen eye for detail logging all conversations had onto the in-house system.
• Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as a very patient manner and ability to develop rapport over the telephone.

This role will involve no sales targets. There will be a competitive salary on offer as well as incentives for best customer service given, and most compliant reporting. This is a very friendly environment in a successful growing business based in the North East.

Key Skills:

Applicants must have extensive experience in insurance with a good understanding of motor insurance in particular.
Applicants will have a polite, confident and professional telephone manner with the ability to build and maintain rapport with clients over the telephone, as well as experience working in a tele-based/ contact centre role.
You will be well-presented, motivated and hardworking, keen to be part of a team working environment.
Due to the nature of some of the calls received, it is essential that applicants are patient and able to empathise as well as be comprehensive when explaining details or risks covered.
