The Company
First People Solutions are currently recruiting for a national award-winning house builder. Due to an increase in workload they have enlisted our services to recruit several Assistant Site Manager roles in Edinburgh and the surrounding area.
Our client, have been in operation for over 60 years and are involved in volume housing and flatted developments across the UK. They have a very good reputation building quality housing as well as developing their staff through training and coaching.
The Job
As an Assistant Site Manager you will be supporting the Site Manager in managing all site resources including labour, plant and materials as well as on-site health and safety and client customer service. Under the guidance of the Site Manager, you will also be responsible for managing sub-contractors by giving them clear direction and clarifying expectations in all aspects of site delivery.
You will also be expected to take ownership of site issues and ensure they are dealt with promptly. You must appreciate the importance of excellent customer satisfaction and resolving customer service issues.
The Candidate
Ideally you will have experience of working in the house building industry, and have experience of meeting NHBC standards. It is important that you have a strong knowledge of the construction process. You will have excellent organisation and communication skills, work well within a team and be computer literate. The client is looking for a self-starter that will bring a positive attitude towards the work environment.
The client has established multiple sites across Edinburgh and you will be joining a company that is at the forefront of the buoyant house building industry.
