PUBLIC LAW - SENIOR PLANNING & REGENERATION LAWYER:
We are looking to recruit an experienced locum planning solicitor to join our planning and regeneration team at Harrow for a period of six months with the possibility to extend at the end of that period. HB Public Law currently provides legal services for three London Boroughs, a district Council and a County Council. The work provided to our clients is diverse and varied ranging from a number of high profile regeneration schemes, major s106 agreements and complex advice to clients - and we need someone to join the team to assist with some of this work.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate must be someone who can hit the ground running and who can handle a large, high profile and demanding caseload with minimal supervision. The work will be both transactional and advice oriented and will include obtaining compulsory purchase orders for regeneration schemes, drafting very complex high profile section 106 Agreements, drafting section 38 and 278 highway agreements, advising clients on planning and highway issues, dealing with judicial review applications and advising at planning committees. Experience of CPO work is highly desirable for this role. The candidate needs to demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude and work with dynamism and professionalism to get the job done in the clients' required timeframes. It is not essential for the candidate to have previous local government experience, but he/she should be a fast learner who is keen to embrace new and unfamiliar concepts peculiar to local authorities. The candidate must also have the demeanour and confidence to present well to clients and work well with other team members
