The Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
Being a special needs teaching assistant you will need to be patient, and firm when necessary. You must also be willing to help with children's personal needs. It is your job to provide the pupils with the help and support that they need in order to succeed in their academics as well as in their development. The ideal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills as well as good communication skills in order to fulfill the role effectively. Experience supporting complex special needs is essential, however classroom experience is not.

The School - All through SEN School

The school manages a range of complex needs and is based in the London Borough of Southwark. Every pupil has an EHC Plan (statement of Special Educational Needs). The ideal candidate must have experience supporting pupils over the age of 9 with special educational needs (SEND).
