My Client supports both public and private sector organisations by helping them meet their statutory responsibilities by providing a specialised range of occupational health, safety consultancy and related maintenance services designed to comply with current government legislation and the exacting needs of clients.
They are currently looking to recruit a Water Hygiene Engineer/Plumber to cover the M4 corridor to service contracts between Bristol, Swindon & Newbury in the main, NVQ Plumber, risk assessment skill set an advantage (small domestic systems only).
You will be responsible for the site-based delivery of water hygiene related remedial services in accordance with current legislation.
?? Undertake monitoring and maintenance of building water services as part of a Legionella Control Program in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274
?? The monitoring inspections will involve temperature testing of water outlets, TMVs, inspection of cold water storage tanks and hot water storage vessels, water sample collection and showerhead disinfection
?? The maintenance tasks may include plumbing repairs and water system disinfection work
?? The inspections will be undertaken using a PDA and web based electronic log book system
?? The role will involve working in a multi-site capacity predominantly throughout the M4 corridor

Technical Competencies
Essential:
Demonstrate previous experience in a similar role
Plumbing experience
Demonstrate working knowledge of the respective legislation and guidance material (ACoP L8, HSG 274, Water Regulations)
Driving Licence
Desirable :
Hold enhanced DBS certificate
City & Guilds or similar accredited Legionella control training
Demonstrate previous experience in related water system remediation/maintenance works
Plumbing qualification
Previous experience in Legionella Risk Assessment
Previous experience in the maintenance, servicing and testing of Chemical Water Treatment systems
