ProTalent are currently working with a multi sited accountancy firm with offices across London and the South East to recruit a competent and ambitious Accounts Senior to their Uckfield office.
The company have exciting growth plans and are already enjoying huge successes with this along the way. Covering all aspects of general practice accountancy including audit and accounting, taxation, wealth and financial management and operate with a wide range of clients from various industries.
The Accounts Senior is responsible for preparing limited company, partnership, sole-trader and charity accounts through to completion and reporting directly to the Client Managers.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
• Preparation of financial statements for a range of organisations including SMEs and charities to completion
• Preparation of accounts and preparation of corporate tax computations
• Liaising with clients during the completion of accounts
• Preparation of budgets for each job assignment
• To assimilate tax information for clients as requested
• Assist with audit work as and when required (although audit experience is not essential)
• Supervise, coach and develop junior members of staff within teams
• Maintain a working knowledge of UK GAAP and relevant accounting/audit developments
• Endeavour to achieve appropriate level of chargeable time on each job
• Proactively suggest revisions to operational procedures to improve organisational efficiency
• Comply with office policies and procedures
The successful applicant will have worked within an accountancy practice previously and will be comfortable in accounts production and tax compliance for a wide range of entities.
Perhaps AAT Qualified or qualified by experience. ACA/ACCA candidates will also be considered.
