Recreation Assistant (Lifeguards),
Tenbury Swimming Pool
Up to GBP13,890.10 per annum
Freedom Leisure is the largest provider of community leisure in the South East and is excited to be expanding into Worcestershire. We have a brand new job vacancy for a full time Lifeguard at Tenbury Swimming Pool.
What will you be doing?
At Freedom Leisure our lifeguards are central to the highest safety and customer service standards that we provide to our customers. Your main responsibilities will be:
Making sure the Pool users are safe at all times
Maintaining high standards of hygiene throughout the centre
Setting up and taking down of equipment for classes and events
Dealing with customer queries, comments and complaints
Ensuring the highest level of Customer Service at all times
You may also work in other areas of the centre to set up and take down equipment or to provide support to other activities that take place during the day. We work shifts that include weekends and evenings.
What are we looking for?
To be a lifeguard you will need to be a strong swimmer and to pass a swim competency test which includes being able to dive to the bottom of the pool; swim 50 metres on your front in 60 seconds and 100 metres continuously on your front and back. You will also need to be able to tread water for 30 seconds in deep water.
Ideally you will already have an NPLQ qualification, however training can be provided if you don't.
In addition to this you will need an excellent understanding of customer service and be able to relate to customers of all ages. GCSE's in English and Maths will also be an advantage to you.
