Enforcement Officer

£20,803 - £27,059 pa + Essential Car Users Allowance

Our client is a charitable, not-for-profit housing association, providing housing and management services to over 7,000 households across the Greater Manchester area.

They are currently recruiting for an Enforcement Officer who will be responsible for ensuring prompt payments are made by our customers, rent arrears are reduced and providing advice on budgeting.

The successful candidate will monitor rent accounts which are in arrears and take appropriate action according to the policies and procedures. Where customers are in high levels of arrears, you will be required to visit them, carry out interviews and provide advice. If high level arrears cases are not resolved you will be required to apply to and represent the association at County Court possession hearings.

You will have previous experience of arrears and recovery procedures, an understanding of welfare benefits and a sympathetic but firm approach to arrears management. You will be organised with excellent communication skills, be customer service focused and have the ability to work on your own initiative.

Due to the nature of this role, a full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.

Closing date: Tuesday 18th October 2016
Interview date: Friday 21st October 2016
