EXCITINGTIMES AHEAD - Get into Microservices Architecture

Based in Liverpool, commutable from Chester, Warrington, Wigan, Widnes, Runcorn, St. Helens, and Manchester.

Salary: up to £32,000 (depending on experience) + Benefits and Training

An exciting Junior PHP Web Developer position has been created for a sector leading client of ours, based out of their HQ on the outskirts of Liverpool, Merseyside.

With a billion £+ turnover, my client has invested in a strategic programme to increase its Ecommerce presence and as such has established a dedicated in-house Web Team, in order to design and develop this area of their business.

These are exciting times ahead and the successful candidate must be enthusiastic about emerging technologies, and required to embrace and master complimentary and/or alternative solutions as part of a culture of continuous learning.

Notable in-house technologies include but are not limited to:

- Microservices Architecture
- Docker
- AngularJs
- NodeJs
- GO Programming Language
- Amazon Web Services - EC2, S3, RDS, Dynamo DB, SQS, Lambda


Ideally you will have at least 3 years commercial experience in working with PHP and are creative in developing unique applications to solve business problems as the company evolves and grows.

Main Responsibilities:

- Perform coding to written technical specifications
- Investigate, analyse and document reported bugs
- Perform maintenance development and correction of identified bugs
- Promote quality standards and processes and work with Developers to achieve these through regular code reviews
- Create and document test plans, implement and manage unit tests and scripts

The successful candidate must possess the following skills and attributes:-

- One or more PHP frameworks for example; Laravel, Silex, Lumen and Symfony
- PHPUnit or equivalent PHP testing framework
- Knowledge of GIT revision control
- Object Oriented Design Patterns
- Relational databases
- NoSQL databases
- Experience developing, supporting and maintaining, scalable web applications (desirable)
