Shift Pattern: Any 5 out of 7 days - between 06:00 and 20:00

45 hours per week

Salary: Up to £18,437

What's the role?

Eddie Stobart are now recruiting for a Driver Line Assistant who will be responsible to respond to all calls, professionally and efficiently. You will be dealing with the 'Estimated Time of Arrival' requests and refused deliveries as well as discrepancies and managing a relationship with drivers across ESL.

What will I be responsible for?

- To receive and action as necessary, all calls from drivers via Driverline function, meeting the given KPI Targets for Driverline
- During peak times work with the Driver Line Co-Ordinator / Team Leader to prioritise calls to ensure delay and failure call response times are kept to a minimum
- Record information received from the Driver precisely ensuring that any next steps are completed / communicated
- Report late collection and/or deliveries to customers, liaising with planning teams where relevant
- Deal with all Non-conformance issues including returns, shortages, damages or refusals
- Organise return and redelivery of goods once agreed with customer, ensuring agreed process is followed where appropriate and ancillary charges are captured/reported where applicable
- Assist in all aspects of Driver Line duties to include; producing of both internal and external reports

- To participate in customer specific activities relating to the provision of Customer Service during "out of hours" periods; to include responding to emails relating to delivery changes and requests for updates
- Prepare daily Handover Reports detailing relevant information regarding any issues for Account Manager/Customer Service Team Manager and team

What kind of person are you looking for?

As the successful candidate you will have good oral and written skills and therefore be an excellent communicator. You will have a high attention to detail and accuracy; with a professional and enthusiastic telephone manner. A high level of flexibility, commitment and motivation is essential. In addition to being able to use your own initiative you will be capable of operating with limited supervision within fixed guidelines. A good knowledge of Microsoft systems and experience within a similar role would be advantageous.
