Senior Avionics Design Engineer

On behalf of my client - a leading Aerospace services company - I'm recruiting for a Senior Avionics Design Engineer to work closely with the Head of Design.

The successful Avionics Design Engineer will be key in improving design procedures, examining and solving issues emanating from EASA audits of the design department and improving the scope of the design department to increase capability and productivity.

The Avionics Design Engineer will also be responsible for various tasks associated with preparing avionics/electrical related design and certification data.

Also, you'll be involved with the full scope of design, certification and PM activities which will include:

-Preparing design documents
-Preparing design drawings
-Liaising with customers to address design requirements
-Checking drawings/documents
-Ensuring design procedures are adhered to
-Adhering to project timescales/time management of own projects/cost tracking
-Participating with EASA audits
-Developing internal procedures and processes
-On-site aircraft surveys

Detailed requirements:

-Avionics/electrical design and documentation
-Plug/socket connector identification
-Equipment Software Management
-Environmental testing requirements
-Gauge and specification of wires and cables to be used
-Specifying power bus to be used for the installed equipment
-Specifying parts lists
-General arrangement of instrument panels
-Electrical load analysis
-Reviewing equipment approvals, eg TSO, ETSO
-EMC/HIRF testing/documentation
-Weight and balance schedule amendment instructions
-Air test/post flight evaluation requirements

Candidates will ideally have experience within an UK MAA DAOS Organisation Environment. Must also be willing to progress to CVE level.
