The Electoral Commission is an independent body set up by the UK Parliament, responsible for regulating political party and election finance and setting standards for well-run elections.It works to support a healthy democracy, where elections and referendums are based on principles of trust, participation, and no undue influence, and in placing the voter first in everything that it does.

The Commission is now seeking to appoint a new Electoral Commissioner, Wales. As a Commissioner you will bring a track record of senior level involvement in the not for profit, private or public sector and will be able to contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of the organisation.

You will be comfortable with scrutiny from the regulated community, politicians and the wider media and the accountability this entails, and your senior level networks throughout Wales will help the Commission build and deepen its relationships and demonstrate its accountability to the Welsh Assembly for its work.

Mae'r Comisiwn Etholiadol yn gorff annibynnol a grëwyd gan Senedd y DU, yn gyfrifol am reoleiddio cyllid pleidiau gwleidyddol ac etholiadau a gosod safonau ar gyfer etholiadau a gynhelir yn dda.Mae'n gweithio i gefnogi democratiaeth iach, lle mae etholiadau a refferenda yn seiliedig ar egwyddorion o ymddiriedaeth, cyfranogiad, a dim dylanwad gorfodol, a rhoi'r pleidleisiwr yn gyntaf ym mhopeth y mae'n gwneud.

Mae'r Comisiwn am benodi Comisiynydd Etholiadol, Cymru, newydd. Fel Comisiynydd byddwch wedi gweithio ar lefel uwch yn y sector nid er elw, preifat neu gyhoeddus, a byddwch yn gallu cyfrannu at arweinyddiaeth a chyfeiriad strategol y sefydliad.

Byddwch yn gyfforddus gyda chraffu gan y gymuned rheoleiddio, gwleidyddion a'r cyfryngau yn ehangach, a'r atebolrwydd sydd ynghlwm wrth hyn, a bydd eich rhwydweithiau lefel uwch trwy Gymru yn helpu'r Comisiwn i adeiladu a chryfhau perthnasau ac arddangos ei atebolrwydd i'r Cynulliad Cenedlaethol am ei waith.
