Senior Salon Assistant (30 hours per week, Fixed Term until 27 June 2017)

£22,914 per annum (pro-rata)

The Senior Salon Assistant is an incredible opportunity within our Creative services team. Our new Kilmarnock Campus will provide stunning new facilities to the community and students including our salon, You. The salon will be open to the public and will provide our students with the opportunity to work in a real business environment.

We are looking for someone to support the Curriculum Manager in the delivery of first class salon services within the College’s learning and teaching environment. You will be educated to HNC level or equivalent, within a subject area relevant to the role, or have equivalent work experience. You will have comprehensive experience of working within a Beauty or Spa service function with knowledge of salon management.

You will provide Beauty treatments to customers to support the delivery of a first class salon experience. You will supervise the day-to-day work and activities of the Salon Assistants to ensure that the salons are adequately resourced, stocked and maintained. You will also support marketing, PR and promotional activities to customers and local communities to develop the commercial focus of the salons.
