Our client is recruiting for a Receptionist to work within a busy medical practice in Reading, RG1.

This role is initially offered on a maternity cover contract; however the opportunity for a permanent contract is a realistic opportunity.

The role
Reporting to the Practice Manager as Receptionist you will be responsible for the following:
• Booking appointments on behalf of and liaising with patients confidentially as necessary
• Updating spreadsheets / diaries as required
• Handling and distributing physical and electronic post
• Retrieving, updating and uploading data into computer systems

What you’ll need
• Experience within a similar role and ideally within a medical environment is desirable but not essential as training will be provided where necessary
• Office administrative & customer service experience is essential
• Excellent standard of written and spoken English
• GCSE Mathematics & English is advantageous
• Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) and good computer skills are required
• Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
