Job Title:                  Hospitality Supervisor

Reporting to:           Hospitality and Catering Manager
Main role:                To provide an efficient service to all residents and visitors to St George’s Park

Overall main responsibilities:

  • To oversee the smooth and efficient running of the Hospitality and Catering areas as well as the Leisure Centre.
  • To supervise and assist a team of Hospitality Assistants
  • Maintaining and controlling the replenishment/ordering of stock for the stores and the shop
  • To take responsibility for any amendments to be made to the EPOS system, including price changes
  • Taking control of the off duty rosta in the absence of the Hospitality and Catering Manager, ensuring that adequate staffing levels are present.
  • Management of the annual stock take
  • Providing induction and training for new staff members
  • Attending the Catering sub-committee meetings
  • Responsible for the security of all stock and monies within the Shop/ Coffee Shop/Bar areas.
  • To undertake Concierge duties,  as required
  • To assist with light kitchen/housekeeping duties, as required

BAR AREA:

  1. To provide a polite and efficient service of all products from the bar
  2. To ensure that the bar areas are prepared for service i.e. clean bar, cut fruit, fully stocked etc.
  3. Cellar Management i.e. storage, cleaning of equipment and stock control
  4. Collection, washing and polishing of empty glasses from the tables and bars.
  5. Receive, check and store deliveries.
  6. To serve customer from within the bar area and also outside tables
  7. Implementation and compliance of current licensing laws and regulations

SHOP/COFFEE SHOP:

  1.  To receive, check and store deliveries made to the Shop and Coffee Shop
  2. Ensure that shelves are fully stocked and maintained at all times, with all goods priced and displayed clearly.
  3. Preparation and cooking of bakery and breakfast items for sale within the shop, and to provide daily beverages and snacks to customers visiting the shop/coffee shop
  4. To assist with the serving of customers in a welcoming and pleasant manner.
  5. Responsibility for the security of all stock and monies within the Shop and Coffee Shop.
  6. To collate pre-ordered goods and arrange delivery of them to customers
  7. To ensure that the high standards of hygiene are maintained within the Shop/Coffee Shop
  8. Assist with the clearing of tables and washing up

 

 

EATING AREAS:

 

 

 

  1. To prepare the eating area ready to receive customers i.e. set tables with clean linen, Cutlery, Crockery, Glassware and Napkins etc.
  2. To meet and greet customers in a polite and welcoming manner, showing them to their tables and providing them with menus and details of specialist cuisine
  3.  
  4. To assist with the serving of food in the carvery area
  5. Efficient booking of reservations
  6. Clearing of tables and assisting with the washing-up
  7. Processing of paperwork and promotion of facilities within St George’s Park

ALL AREAS:

 

 

 

 

 

  1. To ensure all cash or credited transactions are accurately completed and set up an account t billing system for residents of St George’s Park.
  2. Ensure the security of all stocks and takings.
  3. To ensure that any discrepancies in float, transactions, cashing up tills, are reported immediately to the Manager.
  4. Implementation and compliance of current licensing laws and regulations
  5. To be a key holder for the premises
