Living Well Support Worker & Sessional Workers for Chichester Area

Salary: £8-25 ph

Coastal West Sussex Mind is a local mental health charity committed to promoting good mental health and wellbeing in local communities, and supporting the recovery and independence of individuals.

We are looking for a Support Worker for our Living Well Service, which is for older people with mental health problems, including dementia.

Within this service, the role of the Living Well Support Worker is to encourage and stimulate service users, promoting successes, and contributing to the achievement of goals outlined in personal support plans.  Also, to support the safe and effective running of services by attending to the comfort, safety and    wellbeing of individuals using them.


1 position - 17 hours per week working on Thursdays (5 hours) Fridays (5 hours) and Saturdays (7 hours) at our dementia services.


Sessional (Bank) Living Well Support Worker positions available for people who can work flexibly on weekdays and Saturdays at our various dementia and functional mental health services.

Successful applicants will need to have:

Knowledge and proven skills of working with the public in a customer service setting, ideally with vulnerable or older people, and/or people with mental health needs, including dementia.

Good literacy, IT and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge and proven skills of working with groups, and evidence of previous training or learning (formal or informal) which relates to supporting adults who have health and social care needs is desirable. 

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
